2nd iCoachKids International Conference
The ICCE, in conjunction with Leeds Beckett University and Erasmus+ project iCoachKids hosted the Pat Duffy Coaching Excellence Conference on 5th and 6th September 2018 in Leeds (UK). The conference included the 2nd iCoachKids International Conference entitled “Developing Effective Environments for Children and Young People in Sport”.
The conference included a mix of world-class keynote lectures, practical coaching demonstrations and interactive workshops aimed at children and youth coaches as well as coach developers.
It showcased the launch of the first of three FREE Massive Open Online Courses developed by iCoachKids to support coach development globally.
Speakers included Kris Van Der Haegen, Director of Coach Education for Belgian Football, Pedagogy legend Prof Nicolette Schipper-Van Veldhoven from the Netherlands Olmpic Committee, Physical Literacy expert Prof Dave Morley, former Olympic Swimmer Prof Birute Statkeviciene from Lithuanian Sport University, Athlete Development guru Prof Kevin Till, and coach education and youth sport leaders Dr Andy Abraham from Leeds Beckett University and iCoachKids Project Director Dr Sergio Lara-Bercial.
